Marguerite E. Baker, age 83, of Toledo passed away Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000.  
Marguerite was born to Charles and Ethel Tawney on December 8, 1916.  She 
married Kenneth Baker on Jun 28, 1940.  Marguerite had a great love for her 
family and pets.  She worked as a data technician for the U.S. Postal Service 
for 20 years, retiring in 1983.  She was also a member of First St. John’s 
Lutheran Church.

Her husband Kenneth, her parents and brothers and sisters preceded her in 
death.  She will be sadly missed by her loving children, Christina (Roy 
Wilson) Baker and James S. (Patti) Baker; and grandchildren, Abigail E. and 
Amanda C. Baker.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 6-9 pm at the Walker Funeral 
Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave., where services will be held 1 pm Friday.   
Internment will be in Troy Twp. Cemetery.  Those planning a memorial are asked 
to consider the Alzheimer’s Association or the Humane Society.
