DIED
On Tuesday, the 30th ult., Robert Linzee, Esq., of Jefferson Township, Mercer 
county, O., in the 76th year of his age.

The deceased left a large circle of relatives and friends, whose deep and 
unaffected sorrow for his loss, could only be elicited by one whose virtues 
were the theme of every tongue.  Of his rare integrity and goodness of heart, 
all who have known him have witnessed and experienced.  He emigrated to the 
North-Western Territory in the year 1776, - was one of those who early 
encountered the forest and its savage inhabitants.  He served as an ensign in 
the army under Gen. St. Clair, was a member of the Legislature of Ohio in 1815-
16, and again in 1825-26, from Athens county; emigrated to Mercer in 1831, 
since which time his activity and usefulness, has attended greatly to its 
settlement and the advancement of the county. - Those who knew him best will 
lament him most, for truly we fear we shall not look upon his like again.
